Photography, film and sound recording for musicians and ensembles across Lisbon and beyond — a small, working selection pulled out of a much longer list.
Most of what I shoot never gets a page of its own — a festival set, a jazz club date, a one-off recording that exists because someone asked and I said yes. This is a handful of those, chosen not because they're the biggest names but because they're the ones I'd point to if you asked what I actually do on a normal week.
Some of it is photography only. Some of it is the fuller job — lighting, filming, recording and mixing sound, start to finish. Each artist has their own page here, with the photos and films themselves rather than a link elsewhere.

Pedro Abrunhosa
One of Portugal's best-known songwriters, photographed from the crowd at Festas do Mar on the Cascais seafront — thirty-six frames from a single summer night.
João Paulo Esteves da Silva
The fullest credit on this list — photography, filming and sound together. Coverage has run from an intimate solo-piano shoot at Fernando Rosado's auditorium to a six-camera concert production at Teatro Garcia de Resende, built from long lens, centre, silhouette and piano-side angles. A full concert film is still being finished.
Sexteto de Jazz de Lisboa
Mário Laginha, Mário Barreiros, Edgar Caramelo, Ricardo Toscano, Tomás Pimentel and Francisco Brito — a recurring touring relationship, covered stage to stage from Lisbon's Teatro Tivoli BBVA out to Portalegre and Tomar.
Violino no Património
A touring project pairing classical violin with dance — António Barbosa on violin, Pedro Santos on accordion, Carla Frias singing and Catarina Gonçalves dancing. Photographed and filmed on the grand stone staircase of the Palácio Nacional de Queluz, performing Schubert's "Ave Maria" and Monti's "Csárdás."
Rhodália Silvestre
Recorded live at Lamusik a few months before she'd go on to wow the judges on Got Talent Portugal — and before she came to sing at a Garden Session of her own.
Leide in the Mirror
A rotating live-session format shot in a bright, colour-block home studio, full band and a guest vocal from Carolina Moura — visually about as far from the dark, moody fado look elsewhere on this list as it gets. The pick of the set later became a session of its own in the garden.
Philip Hamilton
Fourteen clips and counting — the single largest run of footage on this list, for someone Luis simply calls "very important."
Joaquim Lourenço
"Era Uma Vez Um País," staged at the Cineteatro in Chamusca — one of the names Luis returns to most, on both sides of the camera.
Paula Oliveira
Ninety-two photographs from "Flor Sem Tempo" alone — the largest single shoot on this list — plus a videoclip alongside pianist Léo Tardin.
